Journey of Sozan Dozi

In the heart of Lucknow, where every stitch whispers heritage, Sozan Dozi was born under the Avadh Chikankari Producer Company Limited in 2020 — an artisan-led initiative supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Launched during the uncertainty of the pandemic, it turned crisis into opportunity through skillbuilding workshops, design innovation, and community-driven growth. What began with 450 artisans across Lucknow and Sitapur has now grown into a thriving collective of over 700 skilled

What makes Sozan Dozi unique is its vision: to transform artisans into entrepreneurs. Here, artisans aren’t just workers — they are shareholders and changemakers, owning the craft and the company. With a strong foundation in tradition and a forward-looking mindset, Sozan Dozi is not only preserving Chikankari but empowering its creators to shape their own future.
